Serhat Şener completed his undergraduate education at İstanbul Bilgi University. Following his graduation at Pace University he has joined Deloitte as an IT Consultancy and Audit Specialist in 2006. In 2012, He started as a new service line development Manager in PwC responsible from especially Payment and Electronic Money Institutions and overall Fintech companies. He worked as a Senior Manager in Risk Assurance Services till 2019. In 2019, he started working as a Deputy General Manager for an International Money Transfer company called PayPorter responsible from all aspects of the company. Recently, he started his own fintech consultancy (mainly Payment & E-money Institutions and Crypto Asset Service Providers) business and is working as a board member in a payment institution. Additionally, he acts as an advisory board member to a technology company
He has been involved and managed more than 25 license applications of Payment Services and Electronic Money Institutions to Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency and The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey. He defined and determined business models and feasibility analysis for many Fintech startups and companies. He has extensive knowledge in Fintech regulations in Turkey and new technology trends globally.
